I awoke from the surgery with a large headache and an amazing black eye. I had been prepared for 2 weeks of major headaches and 3 months’ total recovery.
We have all felt it, that tiredness and loneliness that comes from taking care of a sick spouse. But when you have a spouse with epilepsy, life takes on a whole new meaning.

In 1997, I would not have said Epilepsy was a gift. However, back then I was a 21 year old soldier on a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia.
